Production Team Leader

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader with manufacturing experience to take a lead role in supervising production duties and demonstrating a hands on approach whilst also ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times.


- Working with the Production Supervisors in motivating and directing the company's work force
- Supervising the manufacturing process
- Defect/quality checks and reporting
- Adhering to promote best practice in accordance with health and safety and quality procedures
- Managing workload to meet production requirements while achieving cost time and quality requirement's
- Taking ownership of activity levels within the works
- Liaison and working with other support functions to ensure a co-ordinated team approach
- A flexible approach to working hours including working overtime and or shift work when required and attending courses or training that are done outside of normal working hours
- And any other duties as required to be carried out by the management

Person Specification

- Previous hands on experience within a manufacturing/production environment
- Previous experience within a line management capacity
- ILM Level 2 preferred
- Experience or exposure to 5S principles
- Green belt six sigma certified preferred
- Experience of a high volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to lead and make decisions
- Ability to support and develop a team to achieve results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to persuade and influence at all levels
- Ability to analyse and report data effectively
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to change
- Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
- Applicants must have a full UK driving licence
