Are you passionate about support work but want to be able to spend more time with your client? If so, why not work for Active Assistance where you can provide one to one support in the client’s own home. We are currently recruiting for Personal Support Workers in Abberley.
At Active Assistance you will be a Personal Support Worker which is what sets us aside from other care companies. You will be the support worker for one client who you will get to know well and develop a good working relationship with. With us you can put your caring nature into practice. You can spend time with the client, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives.
We are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic female personal support workers - full and part time. Our client suffered a stroke in 2005 and as a result requires one to one support. You will be helping with every day activities including personal care. The lady is a wheelchair user and you will need to use hoists around the home. Full training is provided on this so experience is not necessary. Our Managers will ensure you feel competent in your role before you are lone working. Good non-verbal communication skills will be required. Driving the client is part of the role so a driving license is essential. Our client and her family may want privacy and personal space at times, so you will need to be mindful of this. However, you will be able to keep yourself busy with domestic duties around the home.
- 9.5 hours per day: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Plus 30 minutes late evening to help the client into bed
- The client requires care 7 days a week
- Full and part-time positions are available
- £9 per hour
