This role is responsible for directing the accounting, controls and finance functions at the plant and country level. It has responsibility for subordinate staff. It oversees financial analyses, budgeting forecasting and accounting procedures and compliance to meet corporate and divisional short-term and long-term financial goals and objectives.
This position is located in Birmingham, in the United Kingdom, with supervisory responsibility for up to 4-10 subordinate employees in accounting and controlling, who are also based in this plant.
Responsibility for the operations accounting and controlling function for the plant. Monitoring and approving all capital expenditures and spending requests.
Developing and monitoring financial timetables including budget preparation, sales forecasts and departmental operation expenses.
Preparing and analysing reports and statistics related to financial data, and using the results to appraise operating results and formulate improvement strategies.
SOX 404 compliance and preparation of tax declarations, responsibility for tax questions.
Manufacturing/automotive experience, currently working within a plant
A minimum of five years’ financial experience
Responsibility for P&L
Understanding of an international environment
Ability to work in a matrix structure
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Controlling or Economics, Certified Accountant preferred.
