Our client, a leading manufacturer are currently seeking a Marketing Assistant to be based in their Head Office in Tamworth.

Working within our busy Marketing & Design department you will work alongside a team of 6 designers and help provide a complete in-house service covering all marketing and design requirements for the business. The main responsibilities will be providing marketing support to the Marketing Director.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the timely implementation of all marketing activities.

  • Create and develop marketing plans and define campaign schedules with guidance from the Marketing Director.

  • Monitor marketing budgets, track campaign results and suggest improvements for future campaigns.

  • Assist with the organisation of trade and corporate events including exhibitions and award ceremonies

  • Liaise with relevant departments and write effective e-mail copy for email campaigns

  • Oversee the email campaign schedule and monitor the results

  • Source details on identified partners.

  • Follow-up deliverables for any agreed partnerships.

  • Create new and develop existing relationships with leading trade press and industry bodies.

  • Assist partners with post- and pre-event reports/articles/interviews etc.

  • Oversee the update of the website content.

  • Assist with the planning of new brochures/print adverts etc.

  • Plan and create content to support lead generation activities.

  • Write and distribute timely press releases in conjunction with our PR consultant

  • Distribute content through websites, media partners, social media and e-mail marketing to our customer base

  • Maintain and develop LinkedIn, twitter and other social media channels for both lead-generation and branding purposes.

The position will report into the Group Marketing Director

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate is likely to be a graduate with a strong degree from a reputable academic institution with appropriate marketing or CIM qualification

  • Minimum 12 months marketing experience preferred, ideally gained within the B2B sector but not essential

  • Sound understanding of marketing principles

  • Strong administration and organisational skills essential. Reliable, hard- working individual, able to work on your own initiative.
  • Effective project management skills
  • Be highly conscientious, professional and thorough; a confident and adaptable member of a team with good communication skills both written and oral
  • Quick to learn, self-motivated and enthusiastic about continually improving your skills and standard of work.
  • Highly accurate with an eye for detail
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power point.
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas
