Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Home/Field OR Office/Field Based (Dependent upon candidate location) – Must be flexible with NATIONAL Travel

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + £5000 Car Allowance

Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Mileage + Much More!

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, engage, and secure employer accounts (local/regional and national) via cold calling, networking, and presentations at senior / board level for the delivery of Leadership training programmes.
- Undertake Organisational Needs Analysis and work with colleagues to design and match suitable leadership training programmes to the needs of the client.
- Maximise existing employer accounts to secure new/repeat business and promote our client as the Training Provider of choice.
- Work towards and achieve sales targets for business growth and programmes sold. Taking ownership of own business plan to increase revenue for the company.
- Manage process from creation of proposal and delivery of contract through to completion. Ensuring continuous reviews to refine offering.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients as they start and complete their Leadership training to help forge long standing relationships and ensure quality of service.
- Attend various networking events to promote our clients offering and develop business opportunities.
- Generate a business pipeline through marketing tools, databases, and networking.
- Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities.
- Attend regular networking events to develop business opportunities.
- Maintain and report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis
- Cross sell other products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service

Essential Criteria:

- Candidates must hold a solid work history within a similar role, securing new business and account managing existing business, with local and national employers, for the sale of leadership /commercial / bespoke training courses, across multiple sectors.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to build strong relationships and engage with employers at senior / board level.
- Industry knowledge of leadership training programmes.
- Excellent communication skills – presentation, written and verbal
- Proven experience of negotiating / winning / closing new business
- Exceptional sales, marketing and networking skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle - you must be flexible with national travel
