CNC Lathe / Turn Setter Operators
Must be able to use and read non-digital measuring equipment, gauges and shadow graph etc. and demonstrate a very keen eye for detail.
Must be able to read, understand and correctly interpret Engineering Drawings.
Preferably have a background in the aerospace / automotive industry and be able to complete accurate legible written records and associated production paperwork.
Must be able to change tool inserts and re-set / alter offsets to achieve drawing specifications and tolerances.
Demonstrate high levels of concentration and focus to achieve production targets and scheduled customer deadlines.
Must be able to follow written works instructions, safe working practices and maintain a safe and tidy work area at all times.
Monitor your own Quality and Productivity with a continuous improvement mind set.
Select and set the correct tooling requirements as outlined within the machine programme.
Must be able to bore out chuck jaws
Must be able to safely and efficiently prove out both new and proven programs / set ups, with absolute minimum scrap / waste.
Ensure set up and first component passes all 'first off' quality requirements.
The ideal candidates will either be apprentice trained or have proven experience working in an Aerospace, Automotive or Formula 1 engineering environment, capable of machining all types of materials and selecting and optimising tooling requirements to produce tight tolerance machined components to engineering drawings that meet with required quality standards and production output targets.
The Positions are Day Shift Mon to Thur 7:30am to 4:30pm and Fri 7:30am to 1:30pm, rewarded with an hourly rate of pay of up to GBP11.50p / hr for the right candidates
