Business Development Manager

Location: West Midlands

Salary: up to £45,000, Plus benefits

Our Client is one of the UK’s largest Insurance Networks and now have an excellent opportunity for a talented Business Development Manager to join their team covering the Midlands region.

This is a truly excellent opportunity for a high calibre individual, who has the drive and development skills to service a book of broker clients and grow both network and member income via a mutually beneficial relationship with Partner Insurers.

The main purpose of your role will be to help members resolve Partner Insurer queries by acting as their "champion" and main point of contact; whilst liaising regularly with Insurers at a local level through meetings/conference calls, acting as a facilitator in respect of members and to identify any mutually beneficial business opportunities.


  • To upgrade existing members (where appropriate) from one membership tier to another.
  • To communicate regularly with the member via various means to ensure that they are updated on the various
  • Meeting with your clients regularly to review performance and implement new sales and marketing strategies
  • Building excellent relationships with your client groups
  • Representing the business at relevant Events, Seminars and Conferences
  • Creating and implementing Business Plans reporting to the National Head of Key Accounts / Sales
  • To act as an interface between all three parties and to organise local events as required
  • Effective time management and administration through the appropriate/relevant use of internal systems and procedures and the satisfactory/timely completion of required returns and feedback.
  • To act as a business consultant to our members in relation to matters of strategy and business performance
  • To contribute to the Network strategy and its implementation through the involvement in various projects/initiatives


  • Broking, insurers and the insurance market
  • Broking systems
  • Relationship management
  • Previous working from home experience
  • Experience with basic collation and analysis of MI
  • Working towards CII qualifications
  • Experience of working with Microsoft i.e. Word, Excel and Powerpoint
