This company is looking for a permanent creative Graphic Designer with experience and a natural flare to come and work with them. They are a highly respected print and design centre based in Stafford with over 25 years' experience in lithographic and digital printing. They expanded their services last year to offer large format printing and outdoor signage. They service both commercial organisations and the public sector with dedication to quality and service, whilst working within the tightest of deadlines. They produce work for the NHS, local authorities and some of the largest companies in Stafford. Earlier this year they became a design studio for the Grafenia Plc Group who own the printing.com franchise. They are now offering a web design service using their propriety developer tool Brambl. They are seeking a Graphic Designer to expand and promote their creative design service. The successful applicant will be given the autonomy and resources for developing, branding and promoting a new design studio identity. Depending on design revenue and growth, they will be able to hire their own design assistant. The successful applicant will have responsibility for the prioritisation and scheduling of work, developing high value accounts and expanding their web design service. Requirements - A minimum of 2-3 years' experience designing print or digital media is required - The position will require the applicant to converse with a selection of their valued clients, take briefs, produce visual proofs and ultimately provide print ready artwork for production. - Some appointments may be off site, so ideally applicant should have own transport. - The applicant must have some experience of working in the print industry or at least a working knowledge of reprographic and print processes. - The applicant must be familiar with the latest Adobe Creative and have a basic understanding of Mac Os operations. - Some basic familiarity with web design would be of benefit. Training on Brambl will be given directly Grafenia. Additional experience in web design leading to additional web service sales would taken into account during salary reviews. - IT support and training on production procedure and software will be provided. - The applicant will be working on a range of projects such as POS materials, corporate branding, magazine and brochure designs as well as marketing materials for their own promotions. After being introduced to a client by a member of the sales team, the applicant will then be personally responsible for making sure that the client's design brief is followed, proof deadlines are met, artwork is supplied without error and that the time spent on a project matches the budgeted price. The applicant must be able to communicate to their clients in a professional manner and provide regular progress updates to the sales team who will offer support and guidance from start to finish.
