Finance Manager

Location: Redditch

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP40,000

greenwellgleeson is recruiting for a Finance Manager on permanent basis for a business based in Redditch.

Responsibilities

  • Control the budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital management processes and outcomes within agreed Group timetables.

  • Prepare P&L accounts, balance sheets and cash flows and provide appropriate reports as required by the business.

  • Providing a support service by working with all departments and management to help make financial decisions.

  • Manage the company's exposure to foreign exchange movements.

  • Assist in the management of the annual external audit with the Group's auditors.

  • Review and evaluate current financial processes, systems and controls and take the lead in driving efficiencies and improvements.

  • System implementation and development, including Oracle, and review with relevant Management at Group level.

  • To manage direct reports, ensuring adherence to relevant HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure direct reports are encouraged to develop, both from learning/development and within their roles.

Objectives

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial and other ad hoc reports in line with Group deadlines and standards.

  • Ensure variances to the budget or standard in terms of regular accounts and working capital management are flagged accordingly.

  • Be an Oracle "super-user", leading the integration of Oracle into the finance team, and being the go-to person for system related and finance queries.

  • Proactively liaise with both team and senior management regarding Oracle implementation.

  • Ensure all ledgers are all fully up to date and reconciled, including inter-company balances, and can be reported as such on a daily basis when required so as to give a snap shot of overall financial performance at any given point in time.

  • Ensure any outstanding balances are chased accordingly, and escalated where necessary.

  • Ensure stock balances are fully reconciled on a daily basis, through Oracle, and closing any system or reporting gaps where this is not totally possible.

Key Attributes:

  • 3-5 years Management Accounts experience - Essential

  • Oracle experience - Desirable

  • Team Management experience - Desirable

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified - Ideal
