The soft FM business represents more than half the turnover of PSG, and continues to grow. There are opportunities in the market place and Pinnacle are seeking to take advantage of these opportunities and further grow the business. We are looking to develop the business based upon our reputation for delivering quality, working closely with clients and understanding their needs, while delivering the financial and commercial rigour required for an expanding business.

We have recently undertaken a restructure of the soft FM business to accommodate future growth and opportunities, and are looking for Performance Managers to help drive staff engagement, to in turn drive up performance. We currently have opportunities to join our existing teams in the following contract areas across the Midlands and North:

Purpose of role:

The successful candidate will focus on quality on the ground (through proactive management of staff performance), maintaining standards and staff engagement:

- Client and customer satisfaction (KPIs etc)
- Monitor and report quality, taking appropriate remedial action where quality is not satisfactory
- Undertake client walkabouts, attend resident meetings, interface with the local Housing office and develop resident contacts locally
- Internal efficiency
- Responsible for managing annual leave records, keeping maintenance records for equipment and vehicles, keeping documentation of conversations with staff etc
- Health & safety management - reporting all incidents/accidents, ensuring all staff have h&s passport to work, ensures all risk/COSHH assessments shared with staff, delivers toolbox talks, ensures staff wear correct uniform and PPE, ensures all staff have correct h&s training for their role
- Keeping sickness records and reporting sickness in line with corporate procedures
- Staff satisfaction & engagement
- Talking to, listening to and supporting staff in their efforts to deliver the required service
- Carry out all staff management including return to work interviews, development reviews, team meetings etc
- Manage performance and conduct proactively, escalating any issues to a formal level where appropriate

Skills / Experience Required:

- Experience of managing teams of grounds maintenance staff
- Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
- Full UK driving licence (with B&E entitlement preferable)
- PA1 & PA6
- Chainsaw Licence
- A good knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Desirable but not essential is technical experience in horticulture
- Good problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrable track record of displaying behaviours required as outlined in the Living the Values section of the Working for Pinnacle booklet
- Demonstrable track record of developing staff
