Due to expansion we are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist working full time, term time only on a permanent basis for an up and coming site based in Hereford working term times only. You will be supporting Young Adults aged between 16-25 years with complex Physical and Learning Disabilities to communicate successfully through the design, development and delivery of specialist therapy programmes for learners across the provision. FTE £29,904- £32,326

Responsibilities of Speech And Language Therapist:

• To work as an autonomous practitioner, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation of therapy programmes for students with complex communication needs

• Completing of pre- college assessments for potential students

• Manage a case load of students and their learning across 2 sites

• To design, develop and measure the success of therapy programmes implemented and making necessary recommendations to support the student's development

• To support wider learning and the development of the communication across the site for the students and taking an active role in the development of new provisions

• To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies

• To demonstrate strong knowledge within the field underpinned by evidence based practice

• To ensure the students understand the therapy programme and the benefits to them

• To accurately record all interventions and ensure all documentation is completed in line with company proceed

• To participate in student's annual reviews and person centre care meetings including complex cases

Person Specification for Speech And Language Therapist:

• Educated to a degree level in Speech and Language Therapy

• Membership of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

• Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) Licence to practice

• Strong communication skills

• Computer literate

• Excellent time management skills

• Ability to summarise information and make recommendations based off this
