We require enthusiastic apprentices to work on our existing sites. The applicant must be committed to learning, with a genuine interest and commitment to this exciting and dynamic industry.
We are currently looking for an apprentice with an interest in Quantity Surveying to join our office in Tamworth, Staffordshire. If successful, you will be working alongside experienced tradesmen on a daily basis on site and will complete off-the-job training at a local college on a day release basis.
Daily tasks will include:
NHBC/Building Control registration and monitoring.
Appointing consultants (architects, engineers etc.)
Phone and email communication with consultants, NHBC, suppliers etc.
Co-ordination of third party information (joists, trusses, windows etc.)
Checking drawings (technical and planning.)
Checking sales brochures
Training to be provided:
NVQ & Diploma up to level 6
Functional Skills L1 or L2 in English and Math’s (if relevant GCSE grades not obtained)
Literacy and numeracy
Good spatial awareness
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to listen and follow instruction
Good practical skills
Driving license preferable
