Job Summary
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for maintaining Project plans / schedules and keep project resources on track; provide regular project updates to Programme Managers / Project Managers, and maintain contact with staff to monitor job progress.
The Project Planner works within the PMO Governance ensuring planning and tracking of time and costs for a project.
The nature of the business will require the person to be capable of working on a number of various size projects concurrently.
Key Responsibilities:
*Project time and cost tracking and analysis - the ability to enter time and cost data for each project and analyze compared to established budget
*Organization - the ability to understand and assist in the planning of tasks for new projects
*Data collection and analysis-the ability to organize data and analyze the data for current and future projects
*Communication - the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and regularly with team members, client representatives, and Evergreen management
*Interpersonal - the ability to develop a good working relationship with each team member
*Operating within an agreed PRINCE2 based methodology to ensure successful delivery to both internal and external customers
*Reporting on all aspects of project performance e.g critical path, baseline progress / slippage on a weekly basis and feed into weekly project meetings.
*Developing, updating and managing project plans. Ensuring appropriate allocation of resource, setting of timescales and agreeing levels of client engagement, cross-project interdependencies
*Ensuring effective liaison and engagement on all project matters across functional team leaders and business managers
*Ensuring effective liaison with the client and provision to the client with all appropriate project material
*Maintain all appropriate logs, ensuring effective pro-active management of risks, issues and assumptions
*Interfacing with all areas of the business to ensure that projects are satisfactorily delivered.
*Interfacing with the client and managing their expectations.
*Interfacing with 3rd party suppliers of products and services to be evaluated or used within a project or change.
