My client primary school, located a few miles from Birmingham town centre, has approached Edustaff in regard to the recruitment of a Graduate Teaching Assistant position. The position is due to start in September and will run until the end of the summer term. This is a full-time position and requires graduates to be able to commit to working five days a week during term time.

The school are looking to take on a Graduate, ideally with a degree in a English, mathematics or science related subject, to provide support and guidance across their Year 3 and Year 4 classes. The school require candidates to have a strong academic back ground at A Level and GCSE in order to be able to support their pupils learning in the most productive way,

Due to its location the school is lucky to sport a diverse mix of pupils, some who have only been in the U.K for a relatively short period of time. Candidates will be required to work with pupils with varying degrees of spoken and written language so need the patience to deliver methods of learning with this in mind.

The school is a two form primary with normally 28 pupils per class. The school was rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in 2010 and now wishes to push towards 'Outstanding' The Senior leadership team are committed to making the school the best possible primary in the area; they can only achieve this by having the best teachers and support staff in place to put in to practice their plans and ideas.

This position is all about academic excellence, being a role model and providing young minds with the tools to unlock their learning potential.

If you're a graduate, 100% committed to a future career in education and would like to gain some valuable experience working in a Primary School as a Teaching Assistant then please send in a copy of your CV to Patrick at Edustaff today.
