We are recruiting for a Document Controller to work as part of the BAM site based teams on the Studley Castle Redevelopment project within the Midlands Region to:

• Manage the receipt and distribution of project information via electronic document management systems (EDMS) and any other site based systems.
• Printing and distributing drawings, schedules and specifications as necessary.
• Manage the document/drawing comment and approval process.
• To act as a central point of information for the site teams and management in line with the regional requirements and standards.
• Tracking and reporting on document flow by use of schedules.
• Assist in project close-out and handover/archiving and filing activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and other construction documents issued by consultants and contractors through each stage of the project.
• Update and maintain drawing, schedule, and specification folders and library.
• Setting up and maintaining document registers.
• Ensure the communication and transfer of documentation to the client, consultants and sub-contractors is efficient and a clear process is understood by all.
• Managing the IRS standard proforma, including providing support to the design manager.
• Duties may vary as a result of particular site conditions and specific project requirements therefore the above mentioned responsibilities are not exhaustive.
• Work on multiple projects if required.

Skills and experience:
• Possess excellent computer skills including Excel and willingness to expand knowledge of other applications.
• Preferred user of electronic document management system (EDMS) Live Link or similar.
• Excellent level of literacy and writing skills.
• Good time management and able to commit and work to deadlines.
• Be a team player, flexible and able to work with others.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrable experience of working within a similar role in construction.
