Our client are market leaders in metal forming specialising in the Automotive, Aerospace and Rail industry. Due to recent expansion they now require an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their highly capable maintenance team. Valuing the importance of research, innovation and development of new technologies & products, this exciting opportunity offers a real technically challenging position within a high-spec and constantly evolving workplace.

Your main duties will include:

First-line contact for immediate reaction to emergency break-down on plant, equipment and buildings

Carry out a safe system of work for predictive, preventative and planned maintenance as required

Assist works Engineer in carrying out modifications, improvement activities and other tasks to reduce machine down-time and improve safety at work

Accurate and timely completion of documentation

Actively take part in team activities including continuous improvement programs

The successful candidate will ideally come from an automotive or metal processing background and hold a recognised qualification i.e. Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship.

To be considered for this role you will need the ability to read and understand electrical drawings alongside the PLC fault diagnosis experience - ideally Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley. An understanding of robotic systems would be highly advantageous, as would a background working with press forming machinery.

Working a 3 shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm - 6am), in return our client are offering a salary of GBP36k (including shift allowance) alongside benefits including a private pension, gym membership and ample in-house training.
