Advanced Manufacturing Engineer required on a contract basis to join an industry leading Manufacturing business.

Do you have a background strategically planning, controlling and coordinating the manufacture of components / systems? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing / R&D environment? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the contract role for you!

You will play a key role being the main customer contact for the Trim and Final Department. You will ensure that the agreed customer requirements have been considered and that all manufacturing targets are confirmed by the responsible module groups based on the aligned program requirements. You will be part of a dedicated, motivated and successful team which offers a dynamic working environment supporting major projects both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities:

* Development and assessment of production concepts and feasibility studies
* Definition / coordination of assembly sequence and production equipment (e.g. sourcing of tooling)
* Supplier management (request and compare quotations from suppliers, give recommendations for nomination)
* Development / coordination of time-schedules throughout the overall process
* Plan and establish production concepts (estimation of manufacturing time, investment and running costs)
* Assessment of operator ergonomics and work-sheet preparation for production workers
* Monitoring construction of production lines (takeover of production lines from suppliers and handover to operating production)
* Participate in team meetings (UK / EU)
* Participate in Problem Management (P-FMEAs, Risk Assessment / Filter)

Experience required:

* Previous experience working in an advanced manufacturing environment
* MS Office
* Communication & Interpersonal Skills
* Willingness to travel
* Fluent in Business English
