Job title: MEWP CO-ORDINATOR / ASSISTANT

Based (region/office): Midlands (Birmingham Retail)

A MEWP CO-ORDINATOR / ASSISTANT is required to join a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric property maintenance company. This is a great opportunity for a MEWP CO-ORDINATOR / ASSISTANT to be mobile within the Midlands area.

Brief details of position:

Responsible for co-ordination and delivery of our AWP access equipment to various contracts and assist with essential maintenance and repair across a varied contract portfolio in the Midlands region.

•Ensure the AWP equipment is kept in a serviceable condition and charged ready for use.

•To assist with planned and reactive maintenance as instructed.

•Water hygiene, plant inspections, plumbing, filter changes, and other mechanical duties in supporting of the rest of the team.

•Duties will also include carrying out various non-specialists and building fabric maintenance tasks.

•To assist specialist subcontractors requirements both for PPM and reactive works.

•Attend site emergencies, outside of normal working hours

•To be part of the out of hours call out rota.

•Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.

•Complete any other associated task requested by the management.

Essential Qualifications:

• IPAF

Desirable Qualifications:

• City & Guilds

• Refrigerant, Safe Handling

Essential Experience:

• A demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.

• Previous experience of working within a team.

• Customer Service.

Desirable Experience:

Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.

•Logical thinker in fault finding situations.

•Excellent interpersonal skills.

•Good written and verbal communication skills.

•The incumbent will be required to adopt a flexible approach to working hours to suit the needs of the retail sector. This will require work at weekends and in the evenings or early mornings.

Salary: Competitive, to be discussed at interview.
