We are currently recruiting for a service based business in Birmingham. They are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to the team.
The main responsibility will be to drive cost saving for the business through the negotiation, management of suppliers and procurement contracts, this will ensure the business will receive best value and quality from the contracts awarded.
- Supplier Relationship Management - monitor performance against contracts SLA's
- Review current business spends across each category and identity areas of improvements / savings
- Risk management - review all terms and conditions
- Negotiate with suppliers and supplier visits
The ideal candidate would have worked in the service industry and will ideally be CIPS qualified or currently studying CIPS (or equivalent).
You will have Contract experience - negotiating, drafting and renewing, and excellent interpersonal skills.
