A Global Designer and Creator of Amusement Ride Technologies are currently looking to recruit a Control & Safety Systems Engineer to join a busy R&D team in producing Advanced Ride solutions, together with their attending sub-systems and cutting edge A/V and robotic show systems technology.

The Company
The successful Control & Safety Systems Engineer will work for an exciting business who design amusement park rides and technology used within the film industry from concept to reality and have installed their creations on a global base including Universal Studios Hollywood, Pinewood Studios and Legoland Parks amongst others.

The Candidate
As the successful Control & Safety Systems Engineeryou should be able to work from a detailed brief during all product stages, including initial research, product development, detail design and prototyping, through to final 'First Article'
manufacture and on-going support. A knowledge of current amusement ride industry certification practice (such as EN13814, ADIPS or ASTMf24) would be an advantage, but not essential.
The goal is to design and support and Electrical Engineering support role to a busy R&D team producing Advanced Dark Ride solutions, together with their attending sub-systems and cutting edge A/V and robotic show systems technology.
The candidate will work in close collaboration with the Technical & Operations directors, with a view to grow and mentor the engineering services team on an on-going basis.

Control & Safety Systems Engineer - Person Specifications

* Approx 8 years electrical engineering experience within safety critical applications, motion bases
and associated structures
* Proven experience with FMEA and formal risk assessments, product certification and quality (R&M)
* A high level of competence with 2D design & 3D modelling tools (Inventor & AutoCAD electrical)
* A good working knowledge of software development tools & coding (VB, C & structured text)
* An adequate level of understanding of Industrial and IEC programming formats (CodeSys, Beckhoff
TwinCat or similar)
* A proven track record working with modern drive systems & motion controls
* Good technical writing and authoring skills for certification packages and approvals processes
* M. Eng in Mechanical Engineering preferred, however a B. Eng will be considered

- Salary around £40-50k dependent on experience
