Enhancing the purchasing function is vital to achieving this growth and presents an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate. As well as day to day operations, you will have a close link to prototype development.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful applicant will have a proven track record in a modern manufacturing operation and be technically competent with a good understanding of Takt Time.
You will ideally have an appropriate CIPS or RICS membership and possess excellent commercial and negotiation acumen. The ability to build good supplier relationships whilst acting as a business partner to internal senior stakeholders is prerequisite. Demonstrable experience of introducing and developing processes to bring savings and efficiency to the business should be evident.
It is anticipated that you will be strong around ERP systems (ideally SysPro).
Managing a team across both purchasing and warehouse operations, your leadership and delegation skills are important attributes to deliver the appropriate in house service.
