This is an excellent opportunity to be working permanently with one of the most successful and recognisable main contractors in the UK who have built a superb name in the market.

Projects range from GBP5m to GBP50m with an ever increasing portfolio of Social, Private, Care Homes and Retirement Homes

The successful candidate must have experience in the same, or similar role, from a residential contracting organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

+Remedial Management and supervision of road & sewers, footpath construction and final surfacing works. Ensuring that the works are carried out within an agreed budget and timescale.
+To arrange for CCTV, As Constructed surveys; Street Lighting completion certificates and remedial works with Contractors and Consultants.
+The adoption of roads, sewers, pumping stations and open spaces covered under Section 38 and S278 of the Highways act 1980; and Section 102 and 104 of the Water Industry Act 1991.
+Liaison with Local Authority, Water Company and Environment Agency personnel in respect of site inspections, reporting etc.
+Work to an agreed programme of scheduled adoptions; such programme to be discussed and reviewed with the Operations Director on a fortnightly basis.
+Update the Companies Bonds Management Schedule on a regular basis; ensuring that a monthly report is available to the Commercial Director at the end of each month.
+Maintain development correspondence files.
+Have a sound knowledge and experience of civil engineering construction activities; ie. roads, sewers, pumping stations and section agreements
+Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Groups Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
+At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
+Agree issues with external bodies and remedial works (within remit of cost and programme)
+Instructing Consultants to vary or amend designs (within remit of cost and programme).
+Instructing Contractors to carry out agreed remedial work (within remit of cost and programme).

Experience and Qualifications:

+This role requires previous experience gained from working as an Adoptions Engineer or within a similar Engineering role as an essential
+Ideally, the successful candidate will have gained this experience from working for a housebuilding developer.
+Relevant HND / Degree / Professional qualification desirable.
+Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software.
+Strong negotiator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
