Position: Fleet Maintenance Controller
Location: Coventry / Nuneaton
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: GBP25k per annum

About the role:

As the Fleet Maintenance Controller, you will be responsible for the control and authorisation of the service, maintenance and repair of the Sky fleet of over 3,200 commercial vehicles.


- Experience in the negotiation and implementation of contracts with suppliers and the production of specifications
- Carry out research and predict future trends and developments
- Controlling Maintenance planning and understanding of costs
- Ensuring legal compliance
- Capturing the incoming calls from team managers, engineers and drivers whose vehicles require maintenance or repairs
- Booking of vehicles into garages, repair authority and estimates
- Maintenance administration of the fleet IT system
- Checking and challenging of jobs, times and costs ensuring manufacturer warranties are maximised
- Managing the maintenance spend within set budgets
- Repairer network supplier liaison
- Monitoring, reporting and managing VOR levels within KPIs
- Production of management reports
- Technical liaison with drivers and manufacturers
- Working to van excellence standards for compliance

About you:

- Experience in a maintenance role covering modern technology vehicles
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications, HND or similar
- Accident Management
- Proven experience of providing customer service excellence
- IT skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting
- Fleet maintenance systems and maintenance control experience
- Experience of working within a vehicle service department or dealer
- FTA knowledge
- Experience in the use of telematics
- Project Management skills


- Experience with a large corporate fleet or fleet service environment
- Knowledge of fleet IT systems
- Familiarity with Goods vehicles operator's licence requirements
