Your new nursery
You will be working at a nursery in Norton, Stourbridge which opened in 2015. The nursery has 6 permanent members of staff and is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am-6pm. The nursery caters for children from 0-5 years old. In 2016, the nursery was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted who commented on their outstanding staff interaction with children, their excellent communication with children and parents as well as commenting on the happiness of the children in the nurseries 'homely and welcoming' setting. The nursery pride themselves on being exceptionally well organised, with a highly motivated and dedicated work force who are flexible, work as part of a team and want the best for the children.
Your new role
You will be supporting within the nurseries baby room, caring for children from new born to 18 months old. The nursery is open 7.30-6pm, 5 days a week and you will be working a 42.5 hours, with shifts varying from time to time. You will be required to pass a 6 month probationary period.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent as well as having recent experience within a similar role. You will need to be flexible in your approach as well as motivated and dedicated to providing the best care and giving children the best start in life. You will be experienced and have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS. The recruitment process will involve an informal interview with the nursery manager, as well as a working interview between 1 hour to 1.5 hours involving an observation within the classroom.
