Quality Assurance Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager, who is passionate about customer service, at their Castle Donington distribution centre. You will be responsible for building upon the current quality assurance agenda, creating a tactical plan and delivering this plan through your small team of Analysts, your key stakeholders and the broader Inventory Control team. To be successful in this role you will have strong influencing and relationship building skills, as well as advanced data and statistical analysis. Plus a proven track record in a distribution or logistics environment as Quality at Castle Donington is not about product quality but systems compliance and governance to drive their Customer agenda.

Location: Derby

Salary: £45,000

Responsible for the quality assurance and reporting, setting the standards for quality checks and defining criteria of assessment

Primary contact point for day-to-day operations in relation to Quality Assurance

Development of Quality Assurance procedures, policies, documentation and document control

Establish approach to coach and support managers and colleagues to undertake Customer related investigations and root cause analysis within their areas

Identify and drive implementation of new ways of operating to deliver Quality Assurance improvements, and educate managers and colleagues to embed this across the site.

Lead delivery of Quality Assurance compliance auditing

Support Quality Assurance analysts to investigate and interrogate data to identify root cause issues. Develop action plans to resolve issues, focused on permanent corrective action

Engage and collaborate with on/off-site stakeholders to resolve Quality Assurance issues and drive continuous improvements

Technical skills/business skills required

Experienced Quality Assurance Manager, with experience in a production, manufacturing or distribution based environment

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Warehouse Control Systems

In-depth Inventory & Quality Assurance management, with the proven ability to demonstrate improvement in a continually developing environment

Experience in the analysis of defect data and defect reduction planning

Strong analytical, mathematical and data analysis capability

Experience of Project Management and associated governance

Strong communicating and influencing skills across a broad stakeholder group

Proven capability at problem solving and continued and sustained improvement

Advanced Excel skills required, Minitab experience beneficial
