Our client, a leading commercial law firm, is seeking an IT Business Analyst & Project Manager to join their highly successful, Birmingham based team.

The IT Business Analyst & Project Manager will be responsible for identifying current and emerging business requirements, overseeing the launch of approved projects, as well as working with wider teams to develop IT projects post-launch.

Key duties of the IT Business Analyst & Project Manager will include:

· Understanding the IT needs of multiple stakeholders and translating these into scoped IT projects
· Ensuring a full understanding of the firm's IT strategy
· Facilitating design sessions with the IT and other related business teams
· Putting together implementation teams
· Delivering elements of system design such as data migration rules, business rules and templates
· Documenting business cases to demonstrate benefits, risks and financial appraisals for projects
· Overseeing launch of approved projects
· Clarifying and improving business processes post-launch
· Acting as a liaison point between business units, technology teams and support teams

IT Business Analyst & Project Manager - What we're looking for:

· Experience within either the legal sector or other consumer services
· Experience with Analysis Services and MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Progress
· A strong knowledge of relational, SQL and dimensional databases
· BCS Business Analysis Diploma or project management qualification are desirable
· Strong MS Excel skills
· Strong visual design skills and experience working with stakeholders and end-users in order to define, test and elicit functional BI requirements, making use of Business Intelligence reporting tools
· Ability to communicate stakeholder reporting needs
· Ability to elicit requirements via multiple means such as workshops and interviews
