Salary: G8 £28,203 - £32,164
Full time (37 hours per week)
Fixed Term to 31st October 2019 (due to extra funding)

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective governance and contracting function within a busy multi-programme environment. You will receive on-going training and support from a small core team as you help to promote good relationships, best practice and decision making across the Council and its partners.
You will support the successful delivery of a number of exciting regeneration initiatives in the Black Country. The postholder will play a lead role in promoting excellent governance and coordinating contracting processes on behalf of the Black Country Joint Committee. The role involves reviewing and reporting on key pre-contracting targets and advising applicants on a range of contractual matters. You will lead on the further development of governance processes for the BCJC and its programmes, building effective relationships with a wide range of external partners including the private and Further Education sectors.
The postholder will need a strong track record in public sector contracting and governance activity, including work on national funding streams. You will need experience in the creation of contracting processes and oversight of governance systems and their application, the ability to manage a demanding workload and complex relationships.
