We are currently seeking a HR Support Advisor - Legal Working, on a permanent basis, to support the HR Support Manager to deliver a full Legal Working administration service to M&B so that consistent support is provided to collect and collate all legal documentation as per HMRC guidelines.

Based at our Retail Support Centre in Birmingham City Centre, this important role includes the following responsibilities:

  • To play an active part in a busy centralised ESSC support team
  • Make recommendations on process improvements, to enhance the calibre of M&B’s Right To work record-keeping
  • Be responsible for checking current work permits relating to all legal working documentation within M&B to ensure it is legal and current as per guidelines from the Home Office
  • PeopleNet (SAP HR System) to be updated regularly & maintained in line with Departmental and Company Service Level agreements regarding work permits
  • Processing all new Work Permit applications
  • Organise tracking and chasing of work permits and Right To Work documentation
  • Be part of the Onboarding team and support where necessary

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Interpersonal and team-work skills essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent IT and keyboard skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communicator
  • Good telephone manner, ability to work well in a team offering new ideas
  • Must be able to prioritise work and work within tight time scales
  • 'A’ Level standard of education including English & Maths
  • Good Knowledge of Excel/Word
  • Working knowledge of PeopleNet
  • Basic knowledge of Business Reporting
  • Knowledge of legal working
