Full-time Primary SENDCO - 1 year MAT Cover
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced primary teacher with SENDCO experience to join an OFSTED rated 'Good' 2 form entry school based in Tyseley. This position is start in September and is a full-time, long-term position. The successful candidate will be responsible for all SENDCO responsibilities along with a small class teaching commitment.
Your SENCO responsibilities will include:
*advising and supporting class teachers, teaching assistants and pastoral team, enabling them to offer high quality provision to SEND pupils including those with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
*leading a team of support staff to ensure good progress is made by pupils with SEND
*ensuring the school meets all statutory requirements with regards to SEND provision
*liaising with other professionals to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met and co-ordinating the assessment process for children who require an EHCP
*advising and supporting the parents of pupils on the SEN Register
*being part of the SLT team to further improve SEND provision

Desirables:
*involvement with nurture groups
*understanding of attachment theory
*experience of working with vulnerable/disadvantaged pupils
*experience of writing accessibility plans
experience of ensuring our school website meets all statutory requirements
