Monarch Education's Learning Support Plus team are looking for a SEN specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic Special Needs School in Birmingham. This schools provides specialist education for children and young people whilst they are in hospital or are unable to attend mainstream school due to their medical conditions or special educational needs.

Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a brilliant school, who are looking to recruit a number of Teaching Assistants to work with pupils schools with additional needs.
Pupils who require this additional support may have needs such as:
*ASD (Autisic Spectrum Disorder)
*Specific Learning Disorders (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Dyscalculia)
*SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health)
*Moderate Learning Difficulties
*Physical & Multiple Learning Difficulties
*Severe Learning Difficulties
*Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD)

As a suitable candidate, you will be confident building effective relationships with identified pupils, working with a wider school team to support all the of the pupils specific needs. You will be responsible for encouraging the positive emotional, social and academic development of these children. Training in areas such as Makaton, PECs, Team-Teach are an advantage but are not essential. To be a successful candidate, you must also be comfortable providing personal care.
