Your new company

Due to an internal service redesign, we are now looking to recruit Housing Needs Officers to work in the heart of the city centre on a temporary basis on an on-going basis. Your new role

As a Housing Needs Officer, you will be working in the Housing Options Service and will be responsible for providing high quality housing advice and support services to the customers ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed. You will be handing a large volume of customer queries either face to face, over the phone or in writing. In addition to this, you may be required to interview and visit customers to assist them with the completion of lettings, referrals and application forms. You will also be expected to undertake investigations and provide case summaries to the Senior Housing Needs Officer to allow them to make correct and compliant decisions.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience of working in a fast paced area and have a high level of customer service experience. You will also have strong clerical experience as there will be an element of filing and maintaining records. You will be able to manage working to varying deadlines and have a good working knowledge of current legislation. You must have a keen eye for detail and be able to analyse data and communicate it effectively.
