This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Secretary to join our passionate and knowledgeable Secretariat team as the Deputy Company Secretary. This exciting role will see you carrying out the day to day tasks a normal Deputy Company Secretary would, alongside high involvement of varied projects, utilising your legal experience and management to continue the long-term success of the team.

The Secretariat team manages the process for all 30+ UK businesses and 17,000 employees. We are hard-working, focused and passionate about what we do; this coupled with our customer-centric attitude makes for a successful team that is an essential part of the Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland group.

What will I be doing in the role?

In the role as Deputy Company Secretary you will provide support the Company including;-

- Compliance with the Companies Acts and other relevant legislation
- Acquisitions, reorganisations, amalgamations, liquidations and disposalsImplementation and management of employee share schemes
- Compliance with data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulations
- Administration of Consumer Credit Licenses and various other licenses
- Administration of surety bonds and guarantees.
- Management and administration of UK and Ireland Insurance Program and servicing of insurance including claims handling

For the Deputy Company Secretary specifically it is important that you:

- Have knowledge of company law, corporate governance and compliance
- Have knowledge of employee share schemes
- Have knowledge of company acquisitions, reorganisations, amalgamations, liquidations and disposals
- Are customer focused
- Have attention to detail and delivery focused

It would advantageous if you also had experience and knowledge of;

- Data protection and consumer credit legislation
- Surety bonds and guarantees
- Insurances including broking and claims handling
