SF Group are looking for a Compliance Officer/Business Analyst to work within a Recruitment business in B15. This is a permanent position paying between £20,000 - £30,000. This role is a new position within the business. Your role will be to over see the compliance of all construction candidates registered with and placed by the client. You will work with a number of Consultants based in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Cardiff and Birmingham. You will be required to travel to the other offices on a monthly basis. The role of a Compliance Office is to be responsible for ensuring all candidates registered have all the necessary documentation and all necessary safeguarding checks are complete before a candidate is placed by the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each candidate registered has 100% of all required documentation that relates to the roles they are forward to fill
  • Ensure all candidates database records reflects their level of compliance
  • Regularly report to the FD with a compliance update including any issues that need resolving
  • Keep up to date with updates and changes to the level and manor of safeguarding checks to ensure all candidates meet requirements
  • Communicate changes to the team, work with FD to communicate changes to all external stakeholders concerned
  • Advising Consultants of candidates that are not compliant and why
  • Monitoring candidates due to expire,pre-empting and gaining further documents if required
  • Collation, collection and analysis of weekly activity data to be reported to the board

The ideal Candidate will:

  • Be diligent in checking details
  • Have experience of pre-employment checks and vetting candidates
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have good IT skills including how to use a database and all aspects of Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Be methodical and have the ability to identify risks and recommend actions to mitigate these
  • A proven track record of building and developing effective working relationships and good problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Self motivated and pro-active in seeking out answers
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Logical approach to problem solving

There are core office hours of 8.45-5.00 attached to this role with 28 days holiday a years plus bank holidays with an increase due with service. Please apply via the website.
