Job Description

Arden Personnel are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Providing primary leadership for the warehouse location in Evesham
  • Developing warehouse strategy development with a 3 year minimum horizon to
    include support for all existing commercial products in addition to new products and materials
  • Promoting Lean operating practices in both pick-pack and production including 5S, 6 sigma, JIT to reduce operational costs and increased efficiencies
  • Addressing insource vs. outsource in addition to optimum use and practices within existing warehouse network
  • Ensuring SOP are in place for both Pick-Pack team and Production team
  • Ongoing revising of SOP’s with quarterly report on changes and proposals
  • Responsible for the warehouse operational budget
  • Hiring and developing warehouse team members in conjunction with Directors
  • Developing KPI/metrics
  • Understanding key business processes for warehouse areas and propose right-sized IT/System solutions to support them
  • Leading operations of incoming inspection and material release in close
    collaboration with the quality organization and in compliance with all regulatory
    requirements and procedures
  • Providing shipping/receiving function with leadership and development of functional excellence
  • Maintaining accuracy of information in system databases used for capacity and
    planning purposes
  • Collaborating with Buyers/Planners to establish best practise for the labelling and packaging of product
  • Ensuring safety training including hazardous material handling and transportation compliance
  • Managing critical parts inventory and distribution
  • Driving continuous improvement projects for areas of responsibility
    • Promoting Lean operating practices including 5S, Pull, JIT
    • Hiring and developing warehouse team members including temporary staff

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this role, you will need to;

  • 5 years minimum experience in warehouse/production management
  • Successful experience implementing warehouse strategy and associated change
    management activities
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to influence teams/individuals to
    become leaders
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prepare/deliver presentations and lead meetings
  • Strong computer skills
  • Addressing insource vs. outsource in addition to optimum use and practices within
    existing warehouse network

With this role, you will receive;

  • 9 hour working day (flexible start and finish) to ensure the “job is done”, 30 minute paid break
  • £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
