We require an additional maternity cover lawyer for a diverse and challenging position based within our small UK legal team, for around 9-12 months. This is a broad commercial role, involving drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of contracts of varying levels of complexity including purchase and supply contracts, outsourcing, distribution, IT and general service agreements, as well as being involved in corporate transactions and competition law, experience of which is beneficial. Your role will also involve working with external counsel on a variety of matters including IT, environmental, acquisitions, disposals and litigation.

The Legal team works within the central UK delegation and is a team of focused and passionate individuals; this coupled with our customer-centric attitude makes for a successful team that is essential part of the Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland group.

What will I be doing in the role?

As a Lawyer at Saint-Gobain you will;

- Advise at mid to senior management level
- Work in an autonomous role within an established legal team
- Have an active involvement within competition law at Saint-Gobain
- Be drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of contracts, with varying complexity in a number of functional areas.
- Work within and established legal team of a global market leader that is present in 67 countries worldwide with 170,000 employees

For the Lawyer specifically, it is important that you have:

- Four to eight years PQE in UKcommercial/corporate law
- Drafting and negotiating skills
- In-house legal experience with a major company is preferable - this is acceptable from experience in secondments
