Facilities Manager

Location: Commutable from Birmingham, Moseley, Solihull, Shirley, Smethwick and Quinton

Hourly Rate: £18.50ph - £22.50per hour - Immediate start available.

Type: Temporary until October 2017

THE COMPANY

The role is working for a highly respected educational establishment based South of Birmingham. Covering a large site with differing needs in South Birmingham. You will be working in a modern and dynamic organisation who are currently looking to appoint a facilities manager to drive excellence and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across the facility for an interim period.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Facilities Manager you will be responsible for delivering an excellent service across the site. The role represents a fantastic opportunity for you as an experienced facilities manager to provide support and guidance across a range of areas including health & safety, sub contractor management, asset management and man management of a site services team.

As the Facilities Manager you will also be responsible for the project management of refurbishment projects to ensure that the facility is offering a first rate experience for its occupants. You will play an integral part in leading and managing the sub-contractors on site covering a wide range of services including BMS, Electrical, Mechanical and Air Conditioning.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You should be able to demonstrate;

  • Facilities management experience within an educational/learning establishment.
  • Man management experience of site services staff including caretakers, cleaners and administrative staff.
  • Health & Safety management experience.
  • Sub-contractor management experience.

DBS check will be required.

Candidates with NEBOSH qualifications are highly desirable. Candidates with project management experience of refurbishment projects would be also be advantageous. Candidates must have a flexible approach to working hours and on call requirements covering the weekend.
