Position: Applications Development Support Technician
Location: Willenhall or Talbot Green
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week, 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday
Salary: £18,000 per annum

About the role:

The IT Support / Technical Support will provide support and assistance in the use of in-house developed software projects.


- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for the in-house developed software
- Carry out software installations or upgrades for in-house developed software
- Learn new programming languages such as Delphi and Progress OpenEdge to help in operational support
- Administer user's access and menu options for in-house developed software
- Provide documentation on all specific software builds, guides and operations purposes and give training to new personnel on new procedures
- Could be required to travel to sites other than normal place of work for business purposes
- Could be required to stay away from home overnight or attend evening events on behalf of the business

About you:

- Basic education (numeracy and literacy) essential ICT training is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to use logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
- Welsh speaking desirable not essential
- Analytical skills and the ability to apply lateral thinking to problems and developments
- Ability to travel, work flexible hours and be available for out of hours support as agreed
