Our client based in Coventry are looking to recruit a Market Research Insight and Intelligence Officer for 6 month FTC.

The right candidate will contribute to the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the client by providing high quality, robust market research and timely delivery of market insight and intelligence to impact on and support decision making. This will involve working across the Group to fulfil market research work in line with corporate portfolio development. For example, market research work relating to recruitment, evaluation of events and performance marketing.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To identify a market research calendar and plan and conduct market research both qualitative and quantitative (using the full range of market research methods as required) to support customer insights and brand and market perception
  • Working with colleagues across the Group to identify and implement a process to support colleagues to undertake to market research in line with corporate portfolio development
  • Produce and disseminate research, intelligence and insight findings in comprehensible formats
  • To manage new product development and portfolio management
  • To provide specialist advice and training to colleagues across the Group on appropriate market research techniques, tools and data sources for investigating the HE market and for evaluating the success of marketing and recruitment activities
  • To maintain an up-to-date, online library of market research information
  • Working with colleagues across the Group to gather data to collate, analyse and interpret information to support business recommendations/decisions
  • To collate, analyse and interpret information from a wide range of secondary data to provide market intelligence updates and support business decisions
  • Provide an in-depth analysis of data gathered and present and explain the information to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Make recommendations and identify solutions to inform and drive decision making
  • To project manage external market research suppliers to ensure activities are delivered on time, within budget and in line with the market research brief
  • To manage and report on a devolved budget, ensuring that value for money and good return on investment is achieved

Candidate Specification:

  • First degree in Business Studies or in a discipline with a strong marketing focus
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Substantial experience of working in a marketing position in industry or professions
  • Substantial experience of market research, collating, analysing and presenting data and recommendations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent data analysis skills
