This is a newly created role that will report into the Head of Marketing of the Premier League Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the comprehensive marketing strategy and plans across a wide range of business functions. As this is a new position, there is a significant opportunity to make a difference and positively contribute to the results of the business.

CORE DUTIES

Marketing

Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues,

suppliers and partner organisations to understand their marketing requirements

Support the Partnerships team & Head of Marketing in delivering content for sponsorship activations

Communicate with target audiences and managing customer relationships

sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press - local, regional, national

and specialist publications - or on the radio, depending on the campaign and identifying suitable digital marketing opportunities;

Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters

e-newsletters and DVDs, video content

Management of e-communications from planning, building content and distribution through to analysisWrite and proofread copy

Liaising with designers and printers and other appropriate 3rd party suppliers

Organising photo shoots and management of the marketing image bank

Arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materialsMaintain and update customer databases (CRM, SRO Etc)

Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;Research and advise the relevant Departments of sponsorship / advertising opportunities relating to work carried out

Conduct market research such as customer questionnaires / surveys and focus groups;Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing plans and strategies

Work within set departmental marketing budgets

Evaluate marketing campaigns and report returns to Departments on a case by case scenario

Monitoring competitor activity

Monitoring digital performance through appropriate platforms (Google Analytics)Planning, building and execution of activities to enhance the matchday experience, including the delivery of the Fan Zone

Managing the scheduling of Club content for the in-stadium big screens

Support the creation of content for the new big screens

Support the Head of Marketing in developing the clubs new web-site

Support the Head of Marketing in growing the fan base

Management of the Club’s Commercial site and delivering new content to keep the site fresh and relevantManagement of the Club mascots in terms of their matchday schedule and identifying suitable non-matchday community events for them to attend

Other duties as required (The scope of these duties may be extended as dictated by the changing requirements of the Department and the Organisation, and therefore, the role may require additional ad-hoc duties as reasonably required).

Requirements

Excellent organisational skills with ability to operate on a wide range of topics and projects at one time

Degree level educated in Marketing or similar business orientated qualification

Must be able to work in a team environment with players from many different organisations

Superior attention to detail

Good working knowledge of Football industry and contact with supporters

Proficient with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and database software

Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to customer management programs
