Deputy Housekeeper role for Stately home in Staffordshire
(45676) This is a unique opportunity for a candidates with previous Housekeeping experience in a Supervisory role to work in a unique venue in rural Staffordshire. What was once a private stately home is now a 5 star + plus venue for weddings and corporate events on an exclusive use basis. The main property retains all of its original features internally and externally as well as a great deal of historical art and antiques. As well as the main house, the estate also includes a café, restaurant and various office buildings and unique holiday let properties.
Our client is looking for an experienced Live In Housekeeper to take on a new role within the existing Housekeeping team and to work alongside the Head Housekeeper. You should have previous hotel housekeeping experience, an eye for detail, high levels of customer service and have previous experience in a supervisory role.
You will be responsible for assisting the Head Housekeeper in managing the Housekeeping team and department, maintaining the house to a high standard and to ensure the maximum enjoyment of the guests and general public.
This is a hands on role which needs someone who is flexible and who can work as part of a team.
Main duties will include:
Check diary for upcoming events and assist the Head Housekeeper with staffing accordingly.
Assist the Head Housekeeper in management and co-ordination of housekeeping personnel on a day to day basis and the management of staffing levels.
Assist the Head Housekeeper with organising staff rotas, and be responsible for producing these in her absence and the financial management of labour.
Ensure excellence in housekeeping sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics for House/ holiday accommodation guests.
Assist the Head Housekeeper in performing stock checks on items such as laundry, cleaning equipment and toiletries as requested.
Assist the Head Housekeeper with on the job in-house training for staff in cleaning bedrooms to standard and items of bathrooms and public areas, and providing training and assistance in spring cleaning.
Assist the Head Housekeeper in ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety procedures within the department, with regards manual handling, COSHH and reporting of any hazards.
Carry out evening turndown as stated on the weekly rotas.
This is a full-time role 40 hours per week
