Person Specification:

For this MFL graduate position you must have a UK based modern foreign languages degree at a 2.1 classification or above. Ideally you will also have some experience volunteering or working with young people, perhaps helping them with language tuition or similar. You should be looking to one day become a teacher, with the hope of using this academic year to gain invaluable experience and knowledge in preparation for teacher training in 2018. As a confident communicator you will be able to liaise effectively with a number of key stakeholders within the school environment including parents/carers, colleagues, teachers and senior leaders.

The role:

As an MFL graduate learning mentor you will support a range of learners including high-achievers, pupil premium children and those underachieving bordering on a C/D grade. You will assist with some children who speak English as an additional language to help them to grasp the English spoken language as well. Further, you will assist teachers contributing ideas to lesson planning and preparing resources to aid student learning.

A number of the children who attend this school are international new arrivals, thus often require extra support when it comes to learning English and other languages.
