Macildowie HR is working with a big player in the manufacturing industry to recruit a fast-paced HR Advisor based in Warwickshire. The role will be to get in to absence procedures and managing absence in general, through a variety of means, and to develop a HR system to monitor absence patterns and create analysis. The role initially is a 12 month fixed term contract, with the business is looking to pay around £24,000-£26,000, dependant on experience.

The Role:


The role will involve conducting weekly meetings with product group representatives to review all direct, indirect, skilled and staff absentees alongside identifying and carrying out actions to facilitate a speedy return to work. Actions may include absence review meetings and home visits, referrals to Occupational Health and requesting comprehensive medical report from GP.


You will also be included in the daily and weekly management of the Occupational Health Provision, arranging appointments and facilities, providing referral information and undertaking appropriate actions from resulting medical reports whilst developing human resource systems specifically to support analysis of absence patterns and trends that could shape future policy developments.


The final key part of this role is identifying, facilitating solutions and providing guidance to those dealing with employment problems such as discipline, grievance, discrimination claims, and personal problems

Ideal Candidate:


The Ideal candidate will have previous HR experience within a similar role and environment with an excellent knowledge of HR policies & procedures. You will also need to be computer literate on word, excel, and HR Database Systems such as SAP. A sound knowledge of the principles of Employment Law in particular, Statutory rights, Equality Act 2010, Discrimination & rights of individuals at work is also vital!
