We're looking for a recruiter to come and join us (for six months - however this may go permanent but we just can't confirm this yet) to look after a couple of our Business Areas - so it might help then if you have experience of Engineering recruitment, or something STEM related. You'll spend your time searching the market for the best talent you can find to fill our external vacancies using a range of sourcing methods (x-ray searching, LinkedIn, creative adverts, networking, referrals etc.), proactivity creating talentpools and engaging with the external market to promote careers at Severn Trent.

You'll need to be an engaging person as candidate management is a massive part of this role (every one of our candidates is one of our customers), as is the ability to work well with all your colleagues across Resourcing and Talent - we're very collaborative at Severn Trent. In this role you'll need to be comfortable working with pace, but it's recruitment so that's part of the game. You'll be measured in your delivery against a suite of SLAs and KPIs, however if you're proactive about how you recruit a campaign and plan your day then these should naturally fall into place for you.

As a Direct Recruiter, your key skills and competencies will include:

  • Sound experience of recruitment either in agency or RPO
  • Tenacity and drive to fill vacancies to agreed SLAs
  • Customer focused mind set
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resilient and flexible to changing business demands

Location:

Based at Severn Trent Centre in the heart of Coventry, just a short walk from the train or bus station, we're right by the city's shopping and restaurants - however with an onsite restaurant and Costa Coffee, you probably won't need to leave the office.
