Title: IT Specialist

Site: Ashton

We are seeking an IT Specialist, working in the Factory IT function, carrying out local support on-site at both home site and other sites around the business. You will have experience working in a customer facing IT support role, you should be accomplished at problem solving whilst being highly analytical. Reporting into the Factory IT Manager, within our Group IS&T department. You will be a strong team player with excellent customer care skills, who can support the Tulip user community day-to-day and advise on matters relating to systems and technology. You will already have experience and awareness of ITIL practices with a sound knowledge of IT-Infrastructure, network and VLANs, strong knowledge of production environments and basic knowledge of SQL databases and Scada systems.

You will provide support for systems including, but not exclusive:

Weight, Labelling and MES terminals
Handheld scanners
Site access control
Industrial printers and barcode scanners
Miscellaneous IT systems used for production, planning and yield registration
SQL-databases using simple or predefined queries
Support and troubleshooting on LAN (incl. VLAN setup) in cooperation with Central IT
Purchase of hardware and software within Group IT regarding Administrative IT or Factory IT
Responsible for development and maintenance of documentation (eg. Process descriptions, manuals etc.)
Participate in “On-call-Service”

Other elements of the role require excellent communication and presentation skills. As a highly motivated team player as well as supporting your local site you will be required to document and help improve processes to help the wider Group IT function to enforce, maintain and enhance IT standards, policies and procedures. Your enthusiasm will be pivotal to raising the awareness and successful adoption of our services throughout our customer base.

Within this role you will also have the opportunity to participate in and/or manage other Group IT initiatives and therefore the flexibility and ability to adapt to changing technologies is essential. You will equally have the proven ability to work consistently to a high standard and be self-motivated and will ideally have a qualification in an IT discipline and be both Microsoft and ITIL certified.
