Role Overview & Responsibilities:

• Support Quality Manager in acting as a key communicator. Communicate consistently and effectively to all key stakeholders including team members, external suppliers, management team and customers.
• Provide Quality support to existing QA/QC & manufacturing activities to ensure compliance with both internal & external requirements.
• Support the continual improvement of Management System Documentation ensuring review and enhancement of existing processes in a controlled and methodical manner.
• Demonstrated experience in undertaking quality system audits in line with ISO, BRC & AIB requirements & practice (Support ISO / BRC and Regulatory audit control and maintenance)
• Demonstrated experience in the utilisation of recognised & standard quality tool sets in support of both corrective & preventive action (e.g. Quality Tools 8D, 5Y, Risk Managements) - Support with robust customer & Supplier Corrective Actions.
• Six Sigma experience preferred
• Experienced in first line management of customer interface, with the ability to enhance customer satisfaction through direct two-way communication.
• Lead and support improvement teams mobilised from all manufacturing and management disciplines within the company, supporting improvement tasks from identification through to establishing the solution and then undertaking condition monitoring to ensure a permanent fix is in place.
• Support the quality department ensuring all quality systems in place meet organisational targets within budget.
• Ensure that all documentation conforms to industry/customer quality standards & supports customer new product needs.
• Drive Change via quality tools (APQP) to achieve a quality launch

• Support technical with MOC of process/materials change
• Actively participate in continuous improvement process - internal - external, quality, cost, innovation, delivery and management.
• Quality data is updated and the visual factory is implemented
• Occasional travel may be necessary.

Skills and experience:

• Quality Management/Systems Degree/Diploma (or equivalent) preferred
• Experience in a similar quality role
• Excellent Leadership and Communication skills
• Excellent Interpersonal and Negotiating skills; a team player
• Need be computer literate in the normal Microsoft applications
• Experience of liaising with Customer quality representatives, regulatory authorities, or certifying authorities would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 & BRC - AIB standard would be advantageous.
