IT 3rd Line Support & Projects Engineer

Due to further expansion, another exciting opportunity has arisen for 3rd Line Support Engineer/Technical Lead, based from our Southam office to provide infrastructure support, assist with and carry out project work and to supervise and provide technical assistance to service desk and 1st /2nd line support colleagues at our Southam, London and Southampton offices and on site with our clients.

We're looking for???
A client-focussed, highly motivated IT professional with a flexible approach, a great telephone manner and a genuine enthusiasm for IT. In addition to strong technical ability, the successful Engineer will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to travel and remain 100% hands-on in the on-site technology. Ideally a self-motivated logical problem solver you will enjoy being a team player and may even have team leadership experience or potential.
We need???
Our essential skills and experience list includes:-
• Solid and demonstrable progression through 1st (helpdesk), 2nd (desktop) and 3rd (operational server) line support, with a minimum of 5 years experience.
• Understanding and experience of various backup principals and technologies.
• Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
• A solid understanding of common protocols such as DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with MS server operating systems from 2003 to 2012 R2.
• HyperV Server installation and support experience.
• Microsoft Azure
• MS Exchange 2010 / 2013 administration experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues both server and client based.
• Desktop OS experience with Windows 7 is essential.
• SonicWall or equivalent firewall knowledge.
• Advanced Windows applications troubleshooting ability.
• Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, 2013 - Office 365 Administration
• Office Communications Server 2007 - Lync 2010
• Group Policy Creation and Management
• Production of Logon scripts using:
o VBScript
o Windows WMI Scripting
• Data Centre Hardware Installation and Configuration
• Router / Firewall / Switch administration

We'd also be happy to find an Engineer with: -
• Microsoft SQL Server Maintenance
• Citrix
• Any relevant Microsoft certifications
• Cisco certifications
• Experience with Linux and Apple MAC
• Any experience with network (CISCO, HP, DELL) troubleshooting and switch configuration is also beneficial
