The Role: Technical Manager
Location: Coventry
Salary: GBP60K

Overview:
The Technical Manager will take full responsibility on projects. Provide support, guidance and coaching and developing design skills and develop and own the departmental processes and time constraints.
Key interfaces:
Senior Management, Middle Management, Supervisors, Administrators.
Principal responsibilities:
• Legal requirements/framework for:
• CE Marking
• F Gas Regulations
• Electrical Safety
• Manage design departments
• Review design output;
• Authorise CE Certification;
• Develop design/BOM and related processes;
• Support Sales and Purchasing activities
• Oversee project documentation;
• Oversee development projects
• Oversee standardisation including group standards;
• Establish Quality Circle with Design Engineers, Production and Service;
Personnel Specification:
We are looking for an experienced manager of people, proactive and enthusiastic who is looking for a new challenging and rewarding role within a medium size manufacturing company.
The successful candidate must be a strong team player, creative and self-motivated with the ability to encourage colleagues to embrace change and eager to meet team schedules and targets.
Qualifications:
HND or higher in Engineering, ideally in thermal dynamics;
Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership/management position;
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Proven record of managerial experience gained within a technical environment;
• Experience in 2D and 3D AutoCAD Inventor;
• General understanding of thermodynamic processes;
• Knowledge of technical specifications;
• Understanding of common production processes and installation;
• Understanding of the CE Marking and the associated design requirements related to compliance;
• Proven ability to work and deliver information to timescales;
• Competent in the use and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications;
• Well organised and conscientious with a good eye for detail.
