Event Management Lead - 12mth FTC - GBP35,000 - GBP38,000 + bonuses

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Management Lead to provide mobilisation and readiness for infrastructure and applications supporting a large telecoms programme. This programme is cross-government, multi-agency that will deliver the communication system of a much larger programming supporting various users.

You will be accountable for the mobilisation and readiness of the Event Management Process and supporting tools during the design and transistion phases of the programme into Service Operations.

Ideally you will have sound experience in Event Management tools, systems, processes and techniques and be able to demonstrate experience in IBM Netcool and BMC Remedy.

Preferably you will have experience in Network and IT Operations Event teams within these environments, and experience aligning the ITIL framework.

Initially this role will be accountable for helping to establish the Event Management processes, policies, tools and critical path activities of the mobilsation of the programme.

You should have experience as a first line specialist within the Event Management domain, be able to evidence the ability to operate successfully in a demanding environment.

Essential Requirements:

Sound experience operating in Event Management.

Able to build and sustain effective relationships across customers and suppliers

Experience in Event Management tools and systems e.g Netcool, BMC Remedy

Ability to demonstrate the ability to drive improvements in Event Management SLAs e.g first time fixes, alarm reduction, automated fix etc.

You should have excellent understanding of BMC Remedy Service Management Suite

Desirable Skills:

Experience in monitoring Business Support Systems and associated business processes

Solid experience of monitoring IT infrastructure, Network transmission and application

Good understanding of BMC Service Management Process Model and any experience in Oracle OBIEE would be a distinct advantage
