Job Overview:
Further to business growth and restructuring an exciting role has arisen for a proven Technical Manager within injection mould manufacturing or a Trade Moulder.

As Technical Manager you will be responsible for supplying technical support to customers, sales and the engineering team conducting project and people management, and including budgetary responsibilities. The Technical Manager will also be responsible for all aspects of new product development, ensuring customer needs are met in full through the NPI process. You will manage new product introduction functions to meet budgeted financial performance, lead new projects activity ensuring agreed deadlines are met and transfer of information through departments is both consistent and continuous.

You will mentor & develop Project team capabilities to exceed business needs, provide accurate data for commercial purposes including shot weights, cycle times, machine size.

As Technical Manager you will be instrumental in leading and co-ordinating internal resources to ensure the optimum technical solution is achieved, ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

You must have strong technical experience & expertise within injection moulding application, processes & materials and possess strong, clear & confident communication skills. You MUST have proven people management experience, project management experience, a good commercial acumen and a "right first time" aptitude with a strong attention to detail application.

• Competent in project management, problem solving, team building, planning and decision making

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
• Relevant technical / engineering degree is preferred, HNC, or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification
• Extensive injection moulding knowledge with significant proven team management experience
• Project management
• Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
