Due to exponential growth, a global automotive company with a new manufacturing site under construction is currently seeking a Project Manager to execute new product introduction taking into account quality, cost and time objectives.

Project Manager - Automotive Powertrain
Salary: cGBP60,000
Location: Warwickshire

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, this is a key opportunity to help develop and influence a growing business in the UK and also work on future powertrain technologies applicable to major OEM's. The project manager will have considerable autonomy to deliver a project with support from a team of highly skilled engineers. Providing high level project management of client contracts, supporting bid development and reporting on project status and key metrics.

o To support the customer projects by developing and implementing project plans and activities in line with customer and internal timing requirements.
o Chair meetings to support and achieve the milestones and quality goals.
o Ensure budget approval and release according to agreed schedule.
o Track and report cost and revenue items to ensure the project meets its profitability targets while delivering the appropriate technical content.
o Develop action plans to correct deviations and variances from plan.
o Report progress at review meetings.
o Ensure a high standard of reporting and data integrity for project development.
o Identify bottlenecks and escalate as appropriate to ensure no project delays are encountered.

Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role you are likely to be already working in a Project Manager or Programme Manager capacity, leading engineering programs within an automotive or precision engineering environment.
o Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification ( HNC/ Degree preferred)
o Proven Project Engineering/Project Management experience
o Evidence of technical problem solving and route cause investigation
o Experience of APQP/ PPAP process
o Ability to persuade and influence to meet the expectations of automotive OEM customers
